Calvin Blackburn is a Scottish designer who founded his eponymous, unisex label in 2021. Purposefully taking a slow, meditative approach to design; Calvin works outside of the fashion calendar to create exclusive limited-run collections that offer carefully sourced fabrics and refined detailing.Rich in influences, his work is both sophisticated and spiritual. Drawing upon a myriad of inspirations which span the worlds of philosophy, history and storytelling. Seeking to embody the values of artisan craftsmanship, his thoughtfully layered garments feature considered construction methods, soft silhouettes and folkloric colourways to conjure a poetic vision of understated elegance.Calvin Blackburn began his practice at the prestigious Edinburgh College of Art, where his signature design ethos led to various high profile collaborations alongside luxury heritage brands, such as Harris Tweed and Johnston's of Elgin.
